Cookie policy

Last updated: 2026-10-01

Cookies are small files a website stores in your browser; local storage (localStorage, sessionStorage, Cache Storage) does a similar job. This policy explains which ones Psynthia uses on psynthia.app, what for and for how long, under article 22.2 of the Spanish LSSI and the GDPR.

In short: we only use what the service needs to work and, if you accept it, a measurement tool to fix bugs. We use no advertising, social media or cross-site tracking cookies.

Who is responsible

Psynthia is responsible for the first-party cookies described here. For any question, write to privacy@psynthia.app.

Necessary cookies and storage

They are essential to provide the service you ask for: signing in and keeping it secure, or remembering the language and theme you choose. The law exempts them from consent, so they cannot be switched off in the panel. You can delete them in your browser, but the app will then stop working or forget your preferences.

transformers-cachePsynthiaBrowser cacheUntil you delete itKeeps the transcription model on your computer when you choose local transcription, so it is not downloaded every time. It holds the model only, no audio or text.

Measurement (needs your consent)

They only run if you accept them, and you can withdraw consent at any time. Sentry Session Replay records page activity with all text masked and no images or audio, in one visit in ten and in every visit with an error, so we can reproduce and fix bugs. Sentry processes this data as a processor.

NameProviderTypeDurationPurpose
sentryReplaySessionSentry (Functional Software, Inc.)Session storageUntil the tab is closedIdentifies the session recorded by Sentry Session Replay. Only exists if you accept measurement.

Third-party services

When you pay for a subscription (Stripe) or connect Google Calendar, you move to those providers' pages, which apply their own cookies and policies. If you use local transcription, the browser downloads the speech recognition models from Hugging Face and jsDelivr; those downloads set no cookies on psynthia.app. The providers that process data on our behalf are in the sub-processor list.

How to accept, reject or change your choice

We ask you on your first visit to Psynthia. Rejecting is as easy as accepting and nothing optional is ticked in advance. Your choice is kept for 12 months and you can change it at any time, here or from the “Cookie settings” link in the footer.

You can also view and delete cookies and storage in your browser's privacy settings (Chrome, Firefox, Safari or Edge).

Changes to this policy

If we start using a new cookie that needs your consent, we will update this page and ask you again. How we process your personal data is explained in the privacy policy.
